About new materials——Amorphous soft magnetic alloy
Amorphous metals and alloys are a new field of materials that came out in 70s. Its preparation technology is completely different from the traditional method. Instead, the cooling technology is about one million degree cooling per second. The process from liquid steel to thin strip is reduced by a lot of intermediate processes than the ordinary cold rolled metal strip manufacturing process.
Due to the ultra rapid solidification, when the alloy solidified, the atoms were not ordered to crystallize, and the long range disordered structure of solid alloy was obtained. There was no crystalline alloy grain and grain boundary existed. It was called amorphous alloy. The alloy has many unique properties, such as excellent magnetism, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, high strength, hardness and toughness, high resistivity and electromechanical coupling properties.
Because of its excellent performance and simple process, it has become the focus of the research and development of material science at home and abroad since 80s. A large number of amorphous alloy products have gradually replaced silicon steel and permalloy and ferrite into the market.
